Julia Boschetto and Kevin Brine got married last weekend and I loved everything about their reception. It was a real expression of who they were. Her dress from Kleinfeld's looks like it was made for just her. The chocolate almond sheets and hand dipped chocolate covered cherries that filled their dining room for weeks before the wedding were as delicious as they were thoughtful. The decorator created an understated yet elegant room to host her guests that looked like magic! Julia and Kevin even took time to fill out the homework I had assigned them to create an evening that was highly personalized with details about their friends and families.
I also enjoyed getting to know Rino who gave one of the best Father of the Bride speeches I've heard in a long time. But what went unnoticed by some was that Rino Boschetto also made the cake. When she was a little girl playing on his shop floor with a styrofoam cake, a spatula and some icing they gave her to keep her quiet was he thinking about the cake he would someday be making for her? Rino made Rino's Pastry Shop famous and an essential part of so many Sudbury weddings. Last Saturday he made his last wedding cake, this time for his little girl. The smile on his face in the picture below says it all.
